An exciting new therapy

Integrative Dry Needling has tremendous potential to help patients with pain management, enhance flexibility and accelerated healing.
Integrative Dry Needling

Different From Acupuncture

Unlike acupuncture, Dry Needling is based on Western science-based neuro-anatomy. The needles are similar but their placement is based on trigger points in the body. There are wet needles, which contain a saline solution, and dry needles, which contain no injections.

The principle behind dry needling is that holes as small as skin pores simulate a chemical and neurological healing response, which helps to restore healthy tissue in the body.

How Does Dry Needling Work?

Integrated Rehab is a local pioneer in this promising new field of therapy! We have 20 therapists with a Certification in Integrative Dry Needling, who provide this therapy within our clinics. Typically, the first session begins with 6 – 10 needles. In subsequent sessions, as many as 30 needles may be used, depending on the therapy required. Needles remain inserted for 30 seconds to 30 minutes. This therapy may be administered on patients as young as 8 years old and is appropriate for both men and women.

Dry Needling may be applied throughout the entire body and is primarily used to address the following ailments: tendonitis, neck and back problems, torn ligaments, muscle spasms, decreased motion and swelling.
