About the Award
This program is conducted by the Hartford Courant and is judged by those who know best… the employees from each nominated company! A confidential questionnaire prepared by Philadelphia-based research firm Energage, LLC measures 15 key drivers of an engaged workplace culture.
Over 700 CT companies are nominated each year. Employees at the participating companies address a variety of business aspects on a scale from “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree”.
Responses from the employees include whether or not:
- They felt appreciated
- They were respected in their work environment
- The company offers a solid benefits package
- The company operates by strong values
The responses are evaluated and scored based on a formula that Workplace Dynamics developed through statistical tests and the companies are ranked based on the results.
