Educating Clinicians Worldwide
The Mulligan Concept Teacher’s Association (MCTA) is an exclusive group of physical therapists accredited to teach the Mulligan Concept of Mobilization with Movement. Currently, there are approximately 50 certified teachers from 25 nations who teach this specialized manual treatment for musculoskeletal disorders.
Becoming a Certified Mulligan Practitioner
CMPs have demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge base and clinical expertise in the Mulligan Concept™, as recognized by the MCTA. They have completed extensive coursework and study, and have passed an examination based on the course curriculum.
Physical therapists can become Certified Mulligan Practitioners (CMP) by working with Paolino. She teaches courses at Integrated Rehab and can also host a course at your facility! In order to be recognized as a CMP, an individual needs to complete a series of three courses:- Lower Quadrant Course: Techniques for the lumbar spine, sacroiliac joint, lower extremity
- Upper Quadrant Course: Techniques for the cervical and thoracic spine, upper extremity
- Advanced Course: Techniques for the whole body
Over two days, students complete a total of 13 hours of Mulligan coursework. There is also an examination designed to assess the clinical knowledge and skills developed during each course. After successful completion of the written and clinical exam, practitioners are recognized as Certified Mulligan Practitioners and entitled to use the credentials “CMP”.
