About Functional Golf System
Functional Golf System is a live seminar for practitioners in the movement industry. Participants gain an appreciation of movement abilities, learn range drills to improve golf experience and how to customize individual training programs. These programs are based on the needs of each golfer, the biomechanics of the golf swing and the truths of human movement. With the FGS certification, our physical therapists and movement specialists can help anyone from the novice to the professional golfer develop a fluid, faster swing!
Our distinguished team is led by: CEO Julie Paolino, PT, MS, ATC, MCTA, CIDN, FGS, 3DMAPS and Clinic Director Jennifer Fritts, DPT, OCS, CMP, CIDN, FAFS, FGS, NG360 Golf Performance Specialist, 3DMAPS. Together, they have over 40 years of experience! Julie and Jennifer also have an in-depth understanding of how the body moves. With this extensive knowledge, we’re able to provide safe and effective individualized treatment.
Our Functional Golf Specialists are on the forefront of understanding pelvic and core mobility as it pertains to not only the golf swing, but all sport and functional activities.
Applications of FGS
We can help anyone who wants to become a better golfer, from weekend warriors to PGA professionals. The group at Integrated Rehab has the ability to improve how your body moves on every single level of the golf swing. The FGS certification allows us to provide more individualized treatment for our golf patients.
Integration with Golf Performance Program
Our golf performance program is a culmination of our different specialties, including FGS. Other programs may get you to certain level, but our advanced programs utilize the skilled hands of our therapists to correct input into each segment of the body to truly improve swing and reduce injury risk. We restore your nervous system and get your body moving in time and sequence for the most natural swing possible.
The combination of our certifications and knowledge can improve the golf swing beyond personal training and traditional exercises. If your body is not moving the way it should, strength training will only intensify the dysfunction.
Our golf performance program starts with rotational power, a basic class to put you on the right track to moving better.
We make sure the body is moving appropriately by assessing:
- How your body moves
- What needs to be strengthened or stretched
- Specific manual techniques to get to the next level
Patients then progress to different levels, depending on how specific they want to be, including one-on-one sessions. With our individualized sessions, the sky is the limit – it all depends on the patient’s level of dedication to the program.
