Julie Dutton Awarded “Coach of the Year”

The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association, Northeast District, awarded Julie Dutton the honor of Coach of the Year. The award is given to that individual who has demonstrated exceptional accomplishments as a soccer coach. Julie coaches the Coventry Soccer U11 girls’ team and said, “I believe that these girls are learning skills through soccer and being part of a team will enable them to face challenges later in life. Because they play they have greater confidence, better communication skills, and they are problem solvers and learning the benefits of hard work and dedication.”

Julie is a Certified Athletic Trainer at Integrated Rehabilitation Services in the Tolland Clinic. Her athletic training career grew from a lifelong love of sports and science. She was inspired by the goals that athletes and active adults set for themselves and enjoys the challenge of helping them attain their goals. After college, Julie participated in training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she further developed her skills and enthusiasm for youth fitness and healthy sports participation.
