A two-time Integrated Rehabilitation patient, Tom Curtiss recently expressed the Ellington location’s staff have become his “family.”

Curtiss initially sought treatment with therapist Jennifer Fritts after a rotator cuff surgery. He was extremely pleased with the outcome.

“As I told everyone later, both shoulders are working so well, if I got held up, I could put both arms straight up in the air!!”

As a coach for the Ellington High School’s girls’ soccer team for 17 years, before retiring in 2013, Curtiss came in contact with another Integrated Rehabilitation employee, Matt Leeds, the school’s current athletic trainer. About working with Leeds, Curtiss explains, “I quickly saw by his expertise, the quality of the employees that Integrated Rehabilitation Services hires.”

At one point, Curtiss participated in the Ellington office’s drawing contest, which involved incorporating the location’s logo in an original piece. His work made the cut, and eventually turned into a monthly cartoon for the office’s whiteboard. He says, “This is sure a challenge in itself, but I’m having so much fun doing it!”

The combination of quality, professional services and a friendly atmosphere would make Curtiss return, should he ever need physical therapy again.

“If I ever need PT in the future, I know I won’t go anywhere else! You are the best!!”
