Lymphedema is a painful condition caused by the buildup of lymph fluids in the body (e.g. arms and lower legs) because the lymphatic system has been compromised.  For example, breast cancer patients may suffer from unsightly swelling in the arm(s) after surgery.  While there is no cure for this condition, it can be treated.
